Я поняла, что не люблю Фейт.
Я люблю Фейт Зеро, но не франшизу в целом.

Поэтому не "мне не нравится, что становится с Фейтом", а с самого начала этот канон оставлял довольно равнодушной. У меня нет любимых (или хотя бы зацепивших) персонажей или какой-то важной части истории, кроме Зеро.

Нет, Фейт не плохой. Я с интересом буду следить за новыми частями, смотреть аниме, играть в игры. Просто Фейт - не любимый канон, не самый-самый. Любимое - это именно Фейт Зеро.

actually, that's another reason why I'm not trying to pitch FGO at you (the first one being that I just don't like forcing anything onto anyone): a large part of its appeal - to me, at least, and to some other people whose impressions I've read - a large part of its appeal is about its characters, both its original ones and the new content for the ones you (well, I) came to love in other Fate/ stories. to me, even a large part of FGO's combat's fun is in the characters, in their battle lines and animations, in oh-look-Cu-fights-just-like-he-does-in-Unlimited-Codes, and in haha-Mordred-actually-does-kick, and in I-love-Hyde's-victory-quotes-he-sounds-so-proud-YOUR-MASTER-IS-PROUD-TOO, and in ugh-why-are-everyone's-defeat-quotes-so-sad-no-don't-apologize-yOU'RE-DOING-GREAT.

and it'd probably be all lost on you. which is fine, of course, no story is to be loved by everyone. I mean, you like, uh, three characters in the entire series, if we don't count Waver? that's one party, starting members only. and it's one 5-star, one LIMITED 5-star and one arguably terrible gameplay-wise 3-star. you're not likely to even get them all in quite some time.

but I hope that you'll find other stories that'll be more up your alley and that you'll love, whether it'll be something from Fate or not

hm... Arturia gives a "FSN" vibe, I guess. And some lines in Diarmuid profile make me look at FGO very disapprovingly.

eh, I don't like Diarmuid's lines either. though in my case it's because I feel like they're one-note, lackluster and devoid of personality, and FGO can do better with its writing. with him and some other characters I just wonder if no one from the writers team cared enough about them, compared to others. I understand that the game was in earlier stages back then, but I still wish the writing for the HS was more even. I don't have him anyway, but still. I mean, that's one of the reasons why I don't have him in the first place.
